Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Calorie fit ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use Calorie fit websites, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Calorie fit can involve health-adjacent data such as weight, nutrition logs, or activity. We treat that information with additional care. This policy describes our practices in plain language; it is not legal advice and does not create a doctor-patient relationship.

1. Who we are

Calorie fit operates the Services. Contact: support@caloriefit.app.

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Account data: name, email address, profile photo from your sign-in provider, user ID, authentication tokens, preferences, language, and device type.
  • Nutrition & activity data: foods you log, barcode scans, photos you submit for meal scanning, macros, calories, fiber, sugar, sodium, water intake, exercise entries, steps or similar measurements when you enable integrations, and goals you configure (including target weight or energy budgets).
  • Biometric-adjacent data: height, age or birth year, sex or gender markers if you choose to provide them for calculations.
  • Technical data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, app version, crash logs, and diagnostics needed to secure the Services.
  • Support communications: messages you send to support, including attachments you choose to provide.
  • Payment data: subscription status and transaction IDs processed by payment partners—we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Google sign-in: If you sign in with Google, we receive the account details Google shares for authentication (such as your email address and, where applicable, your name or profile photo). We use this information only to create and secure your Calorie fit account and to display your identity in the product. Our use of Google user data is limited to these purposes and subject to applicable Google API Services User Data Policy requirements—including limited use and no sale of Google user data to third parties for ads that aren't permitted by that policy.

3. Why we use data

  • Provide logging, dashboards, insights, and syncing across devices.
  • Operate AI-assisted meal scanning and improve accuracy over time.
  • Process purchases, renewals, cancellations, and tax where required.
  • Detect abuse, troubleshoot crashes, and maintain security.
  • Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
  • Send service-related notices (not marketing unless you opt in).

4. Legal bases (where applicable)

If GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as securing accounts), consent for optional analytics or marketing, and legal obligations where required.

5. AI processing

When you submit a photo for scanning, we (or subprocessors we engage) may process the image to suggest foods and nutrition estimates. Outputs may be incorrect; you should review before logging. We configure vendors to use data only to provide the feature and not to train public models unless we disclose otherwise in-product.

6. Integrations

If you connect optional health or fitness data sources, we process that data solely to show you the metrics you requested. You can disconnect at any time in settings, subject to provider APIs.

7. Sharing

We share information with:

  • Infrastructure & auth providers that host data and verify identities.
  • Payment processors to complete purchases and comply with tax rules.
  • Analytics partners if you consent or if they process data only in aggregated form as configured.
  • Professional advisers where legally required.

We do not sell your personal health data. We do not use nutrition logs for third-party advertising unless we re-seek consent with clear disclosure.

8. Retention

We retain account and log data while your account is active and for a limited grace period afterward to allow recovery. Backup copies may persist for a short additional period. Billing records may be kept longer for tax, fraud prevention, and accounting obligations.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring designed to protect user data. No method is 100% secure—please use a unique password if password login is offered and protect your devices.

10. Your choices & rights

You may be able to:

  • Access, correct, or export personal data from in-app settings.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@caloriefit.app.
  • Object to certain processing or withdraw consent where applicable.
  • Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link.

To exercise rights, email support@caloriefit.app. We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

11. International transfers

If you use the Services from outside the country where servers are located, your data may be transferred internationally using safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

12. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your region). If you believe we collected a child's data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

13. Changes

We will post updates here and, when required, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you acknowledge the revised policy.
